Information Systems Engineer 4 – Linux Endpoint Services

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator to join our team as an Information Systems Engineer 4. You will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing our Linux‑based infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS) on physical and virtual servers.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures for maximum uptime.
• Develop and maintain Bash and Python scripts to automate routine tasks.
• Manage core services such as DNS, DHCP, SSH, Apache, and Nginx.
• Integrate Linux servers with Microsoft Active Directory, Kerberos, and LDAP for centralized authentication.
• Implement centralized patching, monitor security logs, conduct audits, and apply best‑practice security measures.
• Oversee backups, disaster recovery procedures, and data integrity.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of Linux assets and ensure software license compliance.
• Administer Linux instances on virtualization platforms and support VDI deployments.
• Manage containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 + years of experience as a Linux System Administrator or similar role.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and storage technologies (SAN, NAS, LVM).
• Familiarity with ITIL change management processes.
