Infrastructure Platform Architect

About the role

Mastercard is seeking an Infrastructure Platform Architect to design and deliver internet infrastructure solutions that meet global product, service and backbone requirements. You will work closely with application teams, architects and engineers to ensure alignment with security, design and availability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and validate high‑level requirements together with architects, engineers and development teams.
• Resolve architectural and operational issues affecting infrastructure availability and performance worldwide.
• Produce technical architecture documents, logical flows and models to keep stakeholders aligned.
• Research and evaluate new technologies for potential deployment in Mastercard’s infrastructure.
• Lead regional projects, managing planning, time, cost and resources.
• Perform problem diagnosis, performance tuning, capacity planning and configuration management for internet components.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience with networks, operating system principles and web architecture.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• High‑energy, proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work independently under pressure.

Required skills

• Load balancer configuration and management.
• Firewall policies and configuration.
• Failover and disaster recovery techniques, including routing strategies.
• Cloud design and architecture.
• Web servers, application servers and internet security fundamentals.
