IT Support Engineer (SP1)

About the role

ALTEN Mexico, a subsidiary of the ALTEN Group, is looking for IT engineers to support its US-based team on administrative work and ticket assignment, within Corporate Services for infrastructures and internal networks.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain laboratory IT systems
• Ensure system availability, performance and security for laboratory operations
• Manage data integrity and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for electronic records and signatures

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering or Telematics Engineering
• 5 to 8 years of experience
• Pharmaceutical industry experience
• Advanced English

Required skills

• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and basic network troubleshooting
• IT security practices, including firewalls, encryption and HIPAA or GDPR compliance
• Cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Azure
• Scripting with Python or PowerShell
• Backup and disaster recovery systems
• Knowledge of FDA, GDPR and HIPAA standards
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Cisco CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE or Fortinet NSE are an advantage
