Mechanical Design Engineer – Casting Parts (Automotive)

About the role

Join Bosch’s Toluca plant to lead the regional design of electrified power‑train components for North American traction applications. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will translate customer requirements into feasible casting part concepts, ensuring they meet quality, cost and schedule targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for metal‑stamped and high‑pressure die‑cast parts using NX and CATIA.
• Perform tolerance analysis, GD&T stack‑up calculations and technical studies for internal and external customers.
• Deliver design work packages on time, adhering to specifications and quality standards (DFMEA, DRBFM).
• Collaborate with multicultural teams across engineering, production and project management.
• Support production development of power electronics, electric machines and integrated e‑drive systems.

Required profile

• Mechanical, Electro‑Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Fluent English (required); German is a plus.
