Mid-Level WordPress Developer – Legal Marketing

About the role

We are seeking a mid-level WordPress Developer to join our legal-marketing agency. The successful candidate will independently build and maintain custom WordPress sites, ensuring they are fast, accessible, SEO‑friendly and aligned with client branding.

Key responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch based on design mockups.
• Translate UI/UX designs into pixel‑perfect, responsive pages using HTML5, CSS3/SASS and JavaScript.
• Implement dynamic functionality with PHP and integrate third‑party APIs and services.
• Optimize site performance, speed and SEO, and ensure cross‑browser and mobile compatibility.
• Manage deployments, troubleshoot hosting issues on platforms such as WP Engine or Kinsta, and maintain version control with Git.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers and collaborate with designers, project managers and SEO specialists.

Required profile

• 3+ years of web development experience, including 1‑2 years focused on WordPress.
• Fluent English communication, both written and spoken.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proactive, adaptable and able to work collaboratively across teams.

Required skills

• PHP, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript.
• Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) Pro, Gravity Forms, Yoast SEO, Custom Post Types.
• WordPress core architecture, theme and plugin development.
• Git version control.
• Experience with managed WordPress hosting (WP Engine, Kinsta, etc.) and API integrations.
