OPERADOR SCRAP

About the role

We are looking for a Scrap Operator to manage non‑conforming material generated during metal packaging production. The role ensures proper classification, storage and disposal of scrap in line with safety and environmental procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate material‑handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and compactors safely and efficiently.
• Prepare scrap for recycling or disposal, including appropriate packaging and labeling.
• Maintain a clean, organized scrap area free of obstacles and compliant with industrial safety standards.
• Record quantities and types of scrap handled and report any irregularities.
• Collaborate with production staff to reduce scrap at the source.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment used in the scrap area.
• Follow all company safety, health and environmental policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in material handling or an industrial production environment (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Attention to detail in material classification.
