Trim Manager - Automotive Engineering

About the role

Adient is looking for a Trim Manager based at its Tech Center Queretaro, working on site. The role provides front-line technical leadership and customer interface for assigned programs, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective and manufacturable trim products. It leads engineering teams to meet on-time milestones, first-time quality targets and budget, and is a core member of the Simultaneous Development Team (SDT).

Key responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team to achieve at least 95% on-time engineering releases and a first-time DV/PV pass rate of at least 90%
• Reduce engineering changes compared with prior programs
• Act as the main technical interface with the customer, closing technical issues and escalations on time and aligning to customer specifications, performance and cost targets
• Own the engineering budget and resources, keeping execution within the approved budget (±5%) and optimising resource use
• Drive a culture of robust design, accountability and continuous improvement
• Build team capability through coaching, mentoring and structured development plans

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in BSME, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
• 8+ years in automotive engineering
• Strong trim engineering background
• Proven success launching soft trim programs (JIT, Cut & Sew)
• Demonstrated leadership of engineering teams delivering measurable results
