Payments Accountant – Cash and Bank

About the role

Flowserve is seeking a Payments Accountant to manage cash and bank transactions, support multiple ERP systems, and work with international banks. The role involves executing regular and ad‑hoc payment runs while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Propose, execute, and monitor regular, monthly, and urgent payment runs.
• Reconcile payment batches by verifying entries against system data and legacy or S/4 Hana standards.
• Respond to payment inquiries within 24 hours and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure all payments have proper approvals per Flowserve Delegation of Authority and segregation of duties.
• Maintain compliance with Flowserve policies, US GAAP, SOX, and local statutory regulations.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities as needed.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks assigned by leadership.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in payment processing and handling international banks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, flexible, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Team player with a positive relationship‑building approach.
