Product Engineer – Manufacturing Support

About the role

The Product Engineer will support the local production site by providing technical expertise on manufactured products. You will act as a bridge between operations, engineering, and customers to ensure product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Consult operations on customer and technical specifications, drawing interpretation, and risk assessments.
• Maintain interaction with the local PDE team and technical centre until product issues are resolved.
• Analyze warranty returns and customer feedback, communicating findings to the engineering team.
• Generate and report monthly product‑engineering indicators such as root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving metrics.
• Support feasibility studies for engineering changes and assess production impact.
• Participate in design meetings, provide production‑site feedback, and lead core engineering changes.
• Deliver basic and advanced product training to site personnel.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date list of product requirements by technology and customer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with statistical tools (e.g., Minitab) and structured problem‑solving methods (DOE, 8D, Red‑X).
• Ability to perform detailed analysis of mechanical and electrical components.
• Strong technical writing skills for clear reports to customers and suppliers.

Required skills

• CAD and drawing interpretation, including GD&T and SPC.
• Statistical analysis software (Minitab or equivalent).
• Design of Experiments (DOE), 8D, Red‑X problem‑solving methodologies.
• Root‑cause analysis and DFMEA.
• Technical report preparation.
