Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a manufacturing area, ensuring safe and efficient operations while developing team skills and maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Induct and train new employees, including temporary staff, and define training plans to improve flexibility and multi‑skill capabilities.
• Monitor certification, absenteeism, holidays, safety compliance, and update performance boards in real time.
• Enforce standard breaks, meetings, and working times on the shop floor (genba) and validate operator time records.
• Lead monthly objective reviews, conduct annual appraisals, salary reviews and career interviews.
• Maintain and update work instructions, ensure compliance with safety, quality, 5S and product standards, and drive continuous improvement.
• Implement TPM standards, manage first‑level preventive maintenance, and conduct equipment performance checks.
• Plan weekly headcounts and organization, align production with the Master Production Schedule (MPS), and address deviations promptly.
• Coordinate with supply‑chain and support functions to resolve issues and ensure on‑time delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising production teams in an industrial environment.
• Strong ability to manage people, training programs and performance evaluations.
• Solid understanding of safety, quality and environmental regulations.
• Capability to analyze production data, drive corrective actions and support continuous improvement.
