Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a manufacturing team, ensuring safe and efficient operations while developing employee skills and maintaining high quality standards. This role combines people management, training coordination, and daily production oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Induct new employees (including temporary staff) and organise training actions.
• Analyse skill needs, define training plans, and monitor certification processes.
• Manage daily absenteeism, holidays, safety compliance, and environmental risk analysis.
• Ensure adherence to standard breaks, meetings, and working time validation on the shop floor.
• Conduct monthly meetings, annual appraisals, salary reviews and career interviews.
• Perform on‑the‑job training (OJT) and enforce health, safety, environmental and site rules.
• Maintain up‑to‑date work instructions, 5S, TPM standards, and equipment performance monitoring.
• Propose weekly headcounts and organisation plans, ensure production meets SQCDM and inventory targets.
• Liaise with Supply Chain on daily priorities and manage problem‑solving with support functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising production or manufacturing teams.
• Strong ability to coach, evaluate and develop staff.
• Solid understanding of safety, quality, and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Capability to analyse performance data and implement corrective actions.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
