Professional Support Specialist – IT

About the role

The Professional Support Specialist IT is the local face of Volvo Group’s Infrastructure and Onsite Services (IOS) at the Trucks facility in Monterrey. You will work closely with regional and global teams to deliver and maintain critical application and infrastructure services that keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Support critical production applications and IT infrastructure solutions.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve problems in services and solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and pre‑checks to ensure service quality.
• Follow cyber‑security requirements and report security issues.
• Document errors, work‑arounds, and contribute to knowledge management.
• Provide time‑critical support for industrial IT solutions.
• Collaborate with global technicians and local cross‑functional groups to troubleshoot infrastructure and end‑user problems.
• Install, configure, and support client systems, handheld barcode scanners, and specialized thermal/laser printers.
