Project Manager Lead

About the role

Cognizant is looking for a Project Manager Lead to drive Item Processing consulting engagements for Banking, Cards & Payments clients across several Mexican cities. The role spans the full project lifecycle, from initiation to go‑live, and requires strong leadership of cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements for Banking, Cards & Payments clients from initiation through go‑live.
• Build and execute project plans using Waterfall, Agile and Scrum methodologies, applying critical‑path analysis.
• Manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks and escalations throughout the project.
• Own client and stakeholder relationships, resolve complex queries and document end‑to‑end consulting solutions.
• For Lead/Sr Lead levels, forecast operational targets and provide strategic direction for multi‑workstream programs.

Required profile

• Experience in the Banking, Cards & Payments domain.
• Proven ability to plan and manage projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• Capability to handle complex technical and business analysis.
• Advanced Spanish and intermediate English proficiency.
