Senior Analyst, Quality Assurance

About the role

Mastercard Transaction Services is seeking a Senior Analyst, Quality Assurance to provide independent assurance over compliance operations that support regulated payment services, including fiat and digital currency flows. The role uses a risk‑based, audit‑style approach to evaluate control effectiveness and works closely with Operations, Compliance, and Risk teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute independent quality assurance reviews across compliance functions such as KYC, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity reporting.
• Assess adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and payment‑scheme rules.
• Perform audit‑style testing, including sampling, control assessment, evidence validation, and documentation of issues.
• Identify operational, regulatory, and conduct risks, conduct root‑cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate quality and control effectiveness for fiat and digital‑currency payment activities.
• Track, analyze, and report error trends, themes, and key risk indicators.
• Prepare and deliver clear QA reports to management and senior stakeholders.
• Support remediation of regulatory and audit issues and validate control effectiveness.
• Deputize for the Quality Assurance Manager as needed, allocating work and monitoring progress.
• Coach junior analysts and provide quality‑calibration support.

Required profile

• Significant experience in quality assurance or compliance audit within financial services or payments.
• Strong understanding of KYC, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity reporting processes.
• Ability to apply risk‑based, audit‑style testing methods and document findings clearly.
• Experience working with regulated payment services, including fiat and digital‑currency settlements.
• Excellent analytical skills to identify risks, conduct root‑cause analysis, and propose remediation.
• Effective communication skills for reporting to senior stakeholders and coaching junior staff.
