Senior Business Development Manager – LATAM Ingredients

About the role

The Senior Business Development Manager, LATAM Ingredients will drive revenue growth and expand Oceanspray’s presence across Latin America. You will identify new opportunities, build strategic partnerships and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop distribution routes through brokers, agents and distributors.
• Compile monthly market intelligence on brand performance, market evolution and competition.
• Establish and nurture positive relationships with distribution partners and customers, holding them accountable to annual KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, Marketing, Logistics, Customer Service) to communicate customer needs and resolve issues.
• Maintain existing business, regain lost accounts and create new growth opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with corporate duty and tax strategy and recommend actions to the home office.
• Drive monthly sales results, deliver 12‑month forecasts and oversee partner performance.
• Design and execute commercial strategies across channels, including pricing, promotions and packaging formats.
• Review and update distributor contract terms regularly.

Required profile

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities.
• Strong financial acumen and business/management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) and B2B ingredients industry.
• Willingness to travel 40‑50% across Latin America.
• Preferred experience in the chocolate ingredients sector and proficiency in Portuguese.
