Senior FP&A Analyst – Manufacturing Finance

About the role

The Senior FP&A Analyst supports financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis for a maquiladora manufacturing operation, providing insights that drive cost efficiency and align with corporate goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting processes for operating expenses.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and strategic planning.
• Partner with operations, supply chain and plant leadership to align financial projections with production plans.
• Analyze financial results versus budget, forecast and prior periods, identifying key variances and drivers.
• Prepare management reports and presentations for local and corporate leadership.
• Support audits (including SOX) and maintain proper documentation.
• Act as finance business partner to operations and engineering, supporting CAPEX analysis, ROI evaluations and business cases.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting, strengthen internal controls and improve data accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of FP&A, finance or cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or maquiladora (IMMEX) environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required for daily interaction with corporate teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or similar visualization tools.
• Understanding of USD/MXN currency impact and cross‑border operations.
