Senior Master Planner

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Senior Master Planner in Guadalajara to manage all planning activities for a dedicated workcell and mentor the Production Planners and Document Coordinators. The role owns production planning, BOM and document control and ensures 100% on-time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure 100% on-time delivery, establish build readiness and maintain efficient capacity and customer sizing.
• Maintain accurate revenue forecasting, material control and liability, and develop the Master Production Schedule (MPS) loaded into Jabil's ERP, including PO coverage.
• Reconcile the MPS to customer PO coverage weekly and keep it 100% accurate and achievable, aiming for a 95% MPS goal.
• Analyze material and capacity requirements, communicate constraints to the workcell and customer, and maintain the workcell's capacity planning model.
• Meet daily with the workcell and manufacturing team to adjust schedules, optimize run quantities and minimize changeovers.
• Keep the customer's latest contract on file, including liability windows, component prices and in-house material liability.
• Support the goal of never starting production without a valid PO, adequate materials, accurate BOM and routing; lead the creation of BOMs and routings.
• Chair an end-of-life meeting 30 days before the last planned build, own the build schedule and support plan for potential returns.
• Manage the Jabil purge process for internal workcell purges and follow safety, health and security policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required; HS diploma or equivalent plus an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
• 8 years of experience in planning activities, including 1.5 years as a Master Planner.
• APICS certification and supervisor experience preferred.

Required skills

• Thorough knowledge of MRP, lead times for component types, internal run rates, test development and machine programming lead times.
• Advanced PC skills, including Jabil's software packages.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and to write routine reports and correspondence.
