Senior Mobile Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead the evolution of a mobile app used by adventure‑travel enthusiasts. The role is fully remote and will involve enhancing the existing iOS app, integrating machine‑learning features, and migrating the codebase to a cross‑platform framework.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain new features for the native Swift iOS application using SwiftUI, UIKit, CoreLocation, MapKit and CoreData.
• Integrate Python‑based machine‑learning models for on‑device inference, supporting species identification and recommendation systems.
• Design and improve map‑based and GPS tracking functionality, including offline synchronization for low‑connectivity areas.
• Lead the migration from native Swift to a cross‑platform solution (React Native or Flutter), defining strategy, roadmap and pilot implementations.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts, integrate authentication, real‑time data and ML endpoints.
• Manage versioning, CI/CD pipelines, TestFlight distribution and publish releases to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering production mobile applications for both iOS and Android.
• Hands‑on experience building commercial apps with React Native or Flutter.
• Strong ownership of the full development lifecycle from design to long‑term maintenance.
