About the role
Canals is looking for a senior software engineer to join its backend team in Mexico City. The role focuses on building scalable, high‑performance systems that support wholesale distributors.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services with an emphasis on scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Own large, complex projects from planning through deployment and production monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and customer teams to ensure engineering aligns with business needs.
- Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and help unblock other engineers.
Required profile
- Senior‑level experience building backend systems that handle high traffic and data volumes.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, product‑focused environment.
