Senior Software Licensing Analyst, Oracle

About the role

Rimini Street's Global License and Advisory Services (GLAS) organization advises clients on enterprise software licensing. The Senior Software Licensing Analyst, Oracle provides remote-based expertise on Oracle licensing inquiries, works with clients and prospects and with internal teams such as sales, legal and marketing, and reports to the Sr. Director, Global License Advisory Services. The position is based in Mexico and may work from a remote office.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with clients and prospects to identify and assess Oracle license or support policy concerns.
• Provide guidance on Oracle audit processes and address audit and compliance concerns.
• Articulate possible Oracle licensing or vendor support options and considerations.
• Analyze and report on Oracle license usage and give asset management guidance using software asset management solutions.
• Build rapport with client-facing teams and become the trusted advisor on Oracle licensing questions.
• Stay up to date on industry and vendor activity and policy changes in Oracle licensing.
• Create collateral with the help of other Rimini Street team members.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in IT, accounting, business or a combination, and/or experience.
• 3-5 years of client-facing experience in IT, software asset management, consulting or audit.
• Fluent English; excellent oral and written communication.
• 3-5 years of experience with Oracle license audits, contracts or asset management.
• Deep understanding of the Oracle audit process and compliance risk mitigation.
• Expert knowledge of Oracle license metrics, products, entitlements and contract terms.
• Ability to speak confidently to clients from the C-suite down to the DBA level.

Required skills

• Experience with one or more software asset management tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to collaborate with sales, legal and marketing and to simplify complex topics for internal and external audiences.
