Senior Support Engineer, SAP FICO (Remote Mexico)

About the role

Rimini Street, a global provider of enterprise software support and managed services for Oracle, SAP and VMware, is hiring a Senior Support Engineer specializing in SAP FICO, reporting directly to the Regional Manager, SAP Delivery. The role is 100% remote and based in Mexico, and focuses on Controlling (CO), especially Product Costing and Material Ledger, within complex, global SAP environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert support for Product Costing (CO-PC), Material Ledger, Cost Center and Profit Center Accounting, and CO-PA
• Troubleshoot production issues such as month-end close, costing and variance analysis, and cross-module integrations (FI, MM, SD, PS)
• Perform root cause analysis in highly customized SAP environments and support SAP Project Systems (WBS structures, project cost integration)
• Work with clients to diagnose issues, propose solutions and deliver a high-quality customer experience
• Collaborate with technical teams (e.g. ABAP, integrations) to fix defects, and develop and deliver application fixes and data corrections
• Support global customers in a 24x7 support model while adhering to SLAs
• Contribute to knowledge management, documentation and continuous improvement

Required profile

• 10+ years of SAP experience with a strong focus on FICO, particularly Controlling (CO)
• Working knowledge of standard SAP FI (GL, AP, AR) to support integration with CO
• Proven experience troubleshooting month-end close, costing variances and settlement processes
• Experience in production support environments and in global, virtual teams
• Client-facing presence, able to own issues end-to-end and communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders

Required skills

• Mandatory: Product Costing (CO-PC) and Material Ledger
• Understanding of CO-FI integration and cross-functional processes (MM, SD, PS)
• Hands-on experience with SAP Project Systems (PS) configuration
• Root cause analysis and debugging of complex issues
• Preferred: SAP S/4HANA, FSCM/Treasury, Asset Accounting, ABAP debugging, and experience in multi-country environments
