Senior Test Development Engineer

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Senior Test Development Engineer in Guadalajara, Jalisco, to support its Intelligent Infrastructure division. The role contributes to the quality and reliability of hardware products and to the end-to-end architecture, definition, development and production deployment of software applications and infrastructure used by multiple customers and manufacturing regions. It involves working with internal engineering, manufacturing and quality teams and with end customers. The position supports a hybrid work schedule depending on organizational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop test systems and procedures for manufacturing processes, including test plans, test cases and test scripts for motherboards, memory, CPU, storage (SSD, HDD, NVMe) and PCIe devices (NIC, GPU, mezzanine and RAID cards)
• Create, validate, release and maintain test software and scripts that automate testing, control test equipment, collect and analyze data and generate test reports
• Support and maintain manufacturing server (L10) and rack (L11) test software and infrastructure, including minor configuration changes (new IPNs)
• Maintain documentation of test procedures, specifications and infrastructure for L10 and L11 servers and racks
• Work with hardware engineers, manufacturing engineers and quality assurance personnel on testing requirements and quality standards
• Define and collaborate on overall test infrastructure and application architectures
• Stay current on testing technologies, methodologies and industry best practices

Required profile

• BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field; 10+ years of relevant experience with some college coursework in lieu of a 4-year degree is considered
• Fluent English is a must
• 5-8 years of experience in software manufacturing test development and sustaining for enterprise server, storage or networking products
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 10% globally; experience in multi-site, multi-cultural environments is a plus

• Networking: enterprise Ethernet datacenter switching/routing L1-L3 (BGP, DHCP Relay, ECMP); Arista CloudVision a plus
• Git and software engineering lifecycle practices
