Strategic Sourcing Manager, Technology

About the role

Crunchyroll is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager, Technology, based in Mexico City, reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing. The role owns a complex, loosely scoped technology sourcing portfolio covering cloud infrastructure, content delivery networks, hosting and bandwidth, SaaS, developer tools, observability, customer support platforms, IT hardware and software, security and technology services. It is an individual-contributor position focused on category ownership, independent judgment and cross-functional execution.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technology category strategy, including supplier segmentation, spend baselining, renewal planning and multi-year sourcing roadmaps.
• Lead complex sourcing events, supplier selection, commercial negotiations and contract/SOW/order-form reviews.
• Determine methods, processes, evaluation criteria and decision paths for new or ambiguous technology sourcing assignments.
• Improve sourcing governance and controls with Finance, Legal, Security and Accounts Payable to reduce non-PO purchasing and standardize intake.
• Create supplier-management playbooks for renewals, business reviews, usage and service-level analysis, risk escalation, cost optimization, payment terms and service continuity.
• Turn invoice, contract, usage and supplier-performance data into recommendations that support stakeholder decisions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of strategic sourcing, category management, procurement or vendor-management experience, including 4+ years supporting technology categories.
• Experience leading RFx events, supplier selection, commercial negotiations and contract reviews for software subscriptions, cloud or infrastructure services, technical services, outsourced support or managed-service providers.
• Understanding of technology commercial models such as SaaS terms, cloud or consumption-based pricing, SLAs, renewal mechanics and data/security review touchpoints.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Business-level English; Spanish fluency preferred for local collaboration in Mexico City.
