Tax & Accounting Specialist

About the role

Viva is seeking a highly analytical Tax & Accounting Specialist to ensure accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and robust internal controls across the airline. You will work closely with Finance, Operations, and Systems teams to maintain data integrity and support audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Recognize tax-related transactions timely and in line with IFRS and local regulations.
• Perform end‑to‑end reconciliations between operational and accounting systems.
• Validate the consistency of financial information from multiple sources.
• Identify, analyze, and follow up on discrepancies, variances, and financial risks.
• Execute and document internal controls under ICFR/SOX frameworks.
• Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure efficient and compliant processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in external audit (mandatory).
• Professional experience at a Big Four, public accounting firm, or consulting environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting processes, provisions, accruals, reconciliations, tax accounting, and financial controls.
• Hands‑on experience with month‑end closing and financial statement review.
• Experience preparing and supporting internal and external audits.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.

Required skills

• IFRS (including IFRS 15).
• ICFR/SOX frameworks.
• ERP systems – SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
