Tax Analyst – Mexico

About the role

The Tax Analyst will support the company's direct and indirect tax compliance, reporting and planning activities in Mexico. Working closely with Finance, Accounting, Payroll and external advisors, the role ensures accurate filing, minimizes tax risk and maintains full compliance with federal, state and local tax requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, annual and ad‑hoc tax filings (VAT/IVA, Income Tax/ISR, withholding and local taxes) and ensure timely submission to SAT.
• Maintain tax calendars, monitor deadlines and support electronic accounting and documentation requests.
• Prepare tax provisions, reconciliations and supporting schedules for monthly and year‑end financial reporting, including deferred tax calculations.
• Assist with statutory and external tax audits, coordinate responses to SAT inquiries and maintain organized tax records.
• Monitor changes in Mexican tax legislation, research issues and provide recommendations to management, including transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements through automation, data analytics and ERP/AI tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in corporate tax, public accounting or tax consulting, preferably with multinational companies.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP tax accounting concepts.
