Test Engineer II – Vehicle Brake Systems

About the role

Bendix is seeking a Test Engineer II to support advanced brake hardware development for commercial vehicles. You will lead both field and laboratory investigations, analyze data, and produce comprehensive test reports.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and coordinate complex brake hardware tests using inertia dynamometers, roto‑strokers, and linear actuators.
• Perform vehicle field studies, road‑load data collection, and root‑cause analysis.
• Develop and document test procedures, inter‑laboratory correlation studies, and empirical investigations.
• Direct laboratory activities of other engineers or technicians and schedule lab work to meet delivery timelines.
• Ensure safety, security, and proper handling of all test equipment and assets.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of foundation brake hardware and vehicle chassis systems.
• Ability to work independently with limited guidance.
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and recommendation formulation.
• Effective communication with internal engineering groups and external customers.
