Director, Enterprise Strategy – Mexico

About the role

The Director, Enterprise Strategy – Mexico will shape Mastercard’s strategic direction in the Mexican market. Reporting to senior leadership, you will translate corporate objectives into actionable country‑level plans, drive growth initiatives and ensure alignment across business units.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine Mexico’s enterprise strategy by contributing research insights and content.
• Assist senior leaders in identifying key issues, structuring problems, evaluating options and defining action plans.
• Lead cross‑functional projects and work streams that target growth, market expansion and performance improvement.
• Establish goals and priorities with the leadership team, monitor execution, and flag risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with business areas to set annual targets and assess the economic landscape of key markets.
• Provide strategic and analytical support for business planning, including preparation of the Division’s Quarterly Business Review.
• Promote accountability across support functions such as Business Development, Finance, Marketing and Product.
• Ensure strategic initiatives are governed through robust review processes and align with account P&L objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in strategic planning, analysis and execution, preferably within financial services or payments.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross‑functional projects and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
• Deep understanding of market dynamics, economic trends and their impact on business objectives.
• Excellent communication skills to present insights and recommendations clearly.
