Carrier Relations Specialist

About the role

Border Haul is seeking a Carrier Relations Specialist to join our hybrid team in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with transfer carriers to ensure reliable capacity for inbound and outbound PPE shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard transfer carriers, maintaining up‑to‑date contracts and data in internal systems.
• Coordinate daily carrier communications, resolve service issues, and monitor performance metrics.
• Track shipments and support on‑time deliveries through proactive issue resolution.
• Collaborate with sales and logistics teams to forecast capacity needs, optimise routing and cost.
• Train carriers on the Border Haul portal and related technologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in carrier relationship management and logistics coordination.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with experience interpreting rate structures and logistics KPIs.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities with minimal supervision.
• Relevant education in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent practical experience.
