About the role
The Claims Analyst I will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle marine, specialty, and property claims for AIG's General Insurance business in Mexico. The role focuses on loss mitigation, including salvage and subrogation, to protect the profitability of the marine line.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and analyze claim data against policy terms and contract provisions.
- Determine claim acceptance or denial and manage policy cancellations when required.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and third‑party liable parties.
- Implement loss mitigation strategies such as salvage recovery and subrogation.
Required profile
- Basic knowledge of marine claims handling and policy terminology.
- Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the line of business.
- Experience in negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or other alternative dispute resolution methods.
- Ability to follow up on technical audit recommendations and drive continuous improvement.
