Claims Analyst II

About the role

The Claims Analyst II will investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle complex AIG claims, ensuring accurate policy application and cost‑effective resolutions. The role handles an average of 45 new and 135 outstanding claims per month.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize investigation and settlement techniques to achieve timely claim closure.
• Review documentation, policy provisions, and other records to determine claim validity.
• Maintain accurate system data, set appropriate reserves, and identify sub‑rogation and fraud opportunities.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including employers, claimants, medical providers, and auto repair centers.
• Ensure compliance with service level agreements and company policies throughout the claim lifecycle.

Required profile

• Experience adjusting lower‑level complexity claims.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Potential requirement for adjuster licenses depending on jurisdiction.
• Basic knowledge of legal, regulatory, and litigation requirements for the insurance line of business.
