Costing & FP&A Analyst – Manufacturing Finance

About the role

The Costing & FP&A Analyst will support new product launches and ongoing plant performance by developing accurate cost estimates, financial models, and profitability analyses. Working closely with Engineering, Procurement, Operations and the FP&A team, you will ensure projects meet corporate profitability targets while driving budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for the Interior Trim division.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain the Global Cost Tool (GCT) estimate files using data from engineering, procurement and operations.
• Generate commercial quotes for new business opportunities and product launches.
• Perform profitability and variance analyses, explaining discrepancies between estimated and actual manufacturing costs.
• Support budget and forecast preparation for income‑statement and balance‑sheet accounts.
• Track and explain monthly financial variances, monitor overhead, fixed and variable costs across plant locations.
• Analyze inventory valuation, capital‑expenditure business cases and present cost‑saving recommendations.
• Conduct ad‑hoc financial analyses and support productivity projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, finance or costing within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial modeling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
