Data Engineer – Financial (Remote, MX)

About the role

Globant is looking for a Data Engineer to join the Systems Tower of the P&E Controllership area. You will design and maintain data warehouses, reporting pipelines, and visualisations that support accounting and financial reporting for the product area. The position is fully remote and focuses on delivering scalable, secure data solutions for finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Partner closely with accounting and finance teams to understand data needs and deliver accurate, scalable solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and document data pipelines, warehouses, and reporting tools.
• Maintain best‑practice development standards, including clean, modular code and thorough testing.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and confidentiality across all projects.
• Create and keep up‑to‑date technical documentation, requirements, and test cases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems Management, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience with SQL, Python, or another object‑oriented programming language.
• Hands‑on experience building data infrastructure, pipelines, and reporting solutions.
• Background in finance or accounting, with strong knowledge of accounting processes, budgeting, cost allocation, and revenue tracking.
• Familiarity with statistical tools such as R for trend and variance analysis.
