Financial Controller – Mexico

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead the finance function for Redpath Mexicana, a newly operating entity within the Redpath Group. Reporting to the CFO, Americas, the role ensures accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and alignment with group policies while supporting the company’s growth in Mexico.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project accounting, job costing, and project‑based financial reporting.
• Oversee customer billing, accounts receivable, collections, and cash application.
• Handle accounts payable, supplier reconciliations, and payment support.
• Control fixed assets, capitalization, depreciation, and asset registers.
• Lead general accounting, month‑end close, reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Coordinate tax, statutory reporting, and compliance with external advisors.
• Collaborate with shared services, regional finance, and local advisors on payroll, tax, and statutory balances.
• Prepare monthly management statements and financial reporting packages.
• Support quarterly and annual financial statements and parent‑company reporting deliverables.
• Analyze financial results, including revenue, costs, margins, working capital, cash flow, and project performance.
• Ensure internal controls across finance, purchasing, billing, collections, payroll, and cash management.
• Drive finance system improvements, process automation, and reporting standardization.

Required profile

• Senior finance leadership experience.
• Proven ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, and project accounting.
• Experience with financial accounting, management and statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks.
• Ability to work closely with external advisors such as auditors, tax specialists, and legal counsel.
• Excellent collaboration with operations, HR, procurement, and regional finance teams.
