General Accountant

About the role

Adient is hiring a General Accountant for its Sage Fabrics Lerma site. The role covers the review and analysis of balance sheet accounts, support for receivables, payables, treasury and tax matters, and coordination with financial audits and tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Review balance sheet account reconciliations at the end of each month and verify that each account has adequate documentary support.
• Analyze potential risks for the Business Unit and support Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury and Tax compliance.
• Monitor compliance activities such as journal entries, documentary records of receivables and payables, clearings and credit/debit memos.
• Support operations with intercompany transactions and monthly reconciliations.
• Provide information requested by the CFS, BBC and SAGE Corporate during financial audits, and meet the requirements of tax authorities, including VAT refund requests by the SAT.
• Review accounting records across all modules (receivables, intercompany, banks).
• Support tax operations to determine local taxes on a monthly and annual basis, and attend the Transfer Price Study.
