Inventory Analyst I

About the role

Jabil, a global engineering, supply chain and manufacturing partner, is hiring an Inventory Analyst I in Chihuahua. The role owns the monitoring of inventory levels and traceability, and identifies, classifies and finds the root causes of inventory inaccuracies, giving feedback and possible solutions to the manager to eliminate further discrepancies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all material transactions for the assigned area(s).
• Identify, resolve and find the root cause of discrepancies and inventory errors, and recommend changes to prevent them from recurring.
• Work overtime, assist in material handling and fill in for other Inventory Control personnel as required.
• Eliminate manufacturing downtime associated with the assigned area where applicable.
• Perform regular component cycle counts and inventory transactions and reporting on customer systems when required.
• Assist in developing and implementing materials management systems that improve inventory control.
• Interface with departmental supervisors, support functions, engineering, program management and other plant operations functions.
• Follow safety, health and security policies and comply with company procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to communicate with managers, clients, customers and the public, and to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to read and understand visual aids, simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to handle standardized situations with few variables and to follow simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and to compute rates, ratios and percentages and interpret graphs.

Required skills

• Personal computer operation, including a Windows-based operating system and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
