Material Quotation Analyst

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Material Quotation Analyst in Chihuahua. The role develops the supply base used in all quoting activities, supports quoting work, creates and maintains ISO procedures, and trains and supports department members on the use of business systems.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a list of suppliers and the commodities they provide, and give feedback to the Material Quotations Supervisor and Regional Commodity Managers on potential new suppliers.
• Attend quote kick-off meetings, prepare quote packages and solicit quotes from the supply base.
• Analyze supplier quotes, select suppliers and provide complete costed BOMs to Project Managers.
• Evaluate vendor reliability and review quotes for suppliers not on the customer AVL/AML list.
• Maintain records of consistent suppliers, quoting performance (cycle time, won/lost business) and supplier pricing and lead-time behaviour.
• Support Commodity Managers and workcell teams by knowing which suppliers can provide each commodity.
• Perform special projects and assist the Senior Manager and Material Quotations Supervisor.
• Follow safety, health and security policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of purchasing experience on Jabil-procured commodities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• NAPM, MBA and APICS certifications desired.
