Logistics Specialist – Clinical Trials (Remote, Mexico)

About the role

ICON plc is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage the end‑to‑end logistics process for clinical trial materials. This home‑based position supports the efficient flow of supplies across Mexico, ensuring timely delivery and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate shipment, delivery, and storage of clinical trial materials.
• Work with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to secure cost‑effective logistics solutions.
• Monitor logistics performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with GCP, GMP, GDP‑IMP, and local import/export regulations.
• Manage inventory levels, track shipments, and resolve logistics issues.
• Liaise with customs authorities, couriers, and third‑party brokers for clearance and delivery.
• Act as point of contact for internal/external audits related to logistics and supplies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics coordination or supply chain management, preferably within clinical or pharmaceutical environments.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong knowledge of clinical trial management and regulatory requirements (GCP, GMP, GDP‑IMP).
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% as needed.
