Reinsurance Accounting and Claims Senior Analyst

About the role

A full-time hybrid position as Reinsurance Accounting and Claims Senior Analyst based in Mexico City, Mexico. The role covers financial statements, accounting, premium and claim processing and collections, applying finance and analytical skills while ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial and claims processes. It is primarily office-based, with some flexible work-from-home days.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial statements and perform premium and claims processing
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial and claims-related processes
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, clients and markets
• Follow up on ongoing activities
• Mentor colleagues and deliver high-quality client service

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the reinsurance industry
• 2 to 3 years of experience in treaty reinsurance
• Knowledge of US market regulations in reinsurance, proportional and non-proportional reinsurance, and familiarity with contract law and regulatory controls
• Knowledge of slips (claims from various reinsurers)
• Experience with accounting and finance-related activities
• Excellent written and spoken English

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Advanced database management; Power BI experience desirable
• Analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Ability to work independently and in a team, handle pressure and communicate and negotiate effectively
