Savings Plans Consulting Leader

About the role

Mercer, a business by Marsh, is seeking a Savings Plans Consulting Leader to lead and grow its savings plan consulting practice in Mexico, based in Mexico City, Monterrey or Guadalajara. The role combines deep technical expertise with commercial acumen and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues and teams. It is a hybrid arrangement with at least 3 days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow the practice by owning its strategy, market positioning, client value proposition, revenue growth, profitability and delivery quality.
• Serve as the technical authority on savings funds, covering regulation, market application, operating model, governance and the investment component.
• Drive commercial growth by selling the solution directly to clients, expanding existing relationships and partnering with Marsh consultants to close opportunities.
• Build internal credibility so colleagues bring savings fund opportunities to their clients.
• Lead and develop a team of consulting professionals, set clear direction, coach talent and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, actuarial science, law or a related field.
• Proven experience in savings funds, employee savings, financial wellbeing, retirement, investments or related financial/benefits consulting.
• Strong track record in business development and consultative sales with corporate clients.
• Experience leading client relationships, complex initiatives and ideally teams.
• Advanced business English; AMIB certification is highly desirable, or the ability to obtain it.
• Availability to travel within Mexico, typically no more than once a month.

Required skills

• Understanding of the regulatory and investment aspects of savings fund solutions.
• Ability to position savings funds as a meaningful part of an employee value proposition for HR leaders.
• Strong influence across functional stakeholders in a matrix organization and ability to build internal networks.
• Consulting, financial services, wealth, retirement or employee benefits experience is a plus.
