Senior Accountant, Fixed Assets

About the role

This senior accountant position supports Finance, Operations, and plant teams to maintain accurate fixed‑asset records, enforce strong financial controls, and deliver timely reporting for a manufacturing environment in Acuña, Coahuila.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional teams to safeguard and account for fixed assets.
• Validate purchase orders for budget alignment and proper classification.
• Determine capitalization versus expense treatment for new assets.
• Coordinate with Tax and Import/Export to meet Mexican regulatory requirements.
• Maintain asset location, ownership, and transfer records.
• Prepare documentation for audits, internal controls, and management review.
• Record additions, depreciation, transfers, and disposals in the Fixed Assets Subledger.
• Reconcile the Fixed Asset Database, Subledger, and ERP General Ledger.
• Lead annual physical inventory counts at all plant locations.
• Monitor tooling project costs against deposits for financial alignment.
• Support compliance with PKC Group’s Environment, Health, Safety, and Energy policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience in fixed‑asset accounting, CAPEX tracking, or general ledger accounting within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to perform reconciliations, data analysis, and variance reviews.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective collaborator with finance, operations, plant personnel, and leadership.
