Senior Supplier Scheduler

About the role

Johnson Controls is looking for a Senior Supplier Scheduler who develops suppliers and intercompany plants (feeders), executes savings projects, assigns the right supplier to each purchased item and supports expediting so that direct materials arrive on time and meet delivery dates. The role may also cover quality escalations, ISO requirements, internal projects and engineering changes related to purchased items.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze MRP demand and replenish stocks on time, and place purchase orders with suppliers and feeder plants on schedule.
• Obtain confirmation dates or ETAs for all POs, ensure correct receipt in SAP and align with suppliers' requested dates to protect production.
• Send reports on open lines to suppliers, communicate risks and shortages to Planning and Production, and escalate issues via the JIRA process.
• Analyze vendor issues, monthly forecasts, delivery, pricing and invoicing problems, and monitor vendor performance and on-time delivery.
• Implement projects to reduce inventory, excess and obsolete items, and resolve discrepancies between the warehouse and logistics team.
• Respond to invoices assigned in Maple (AP discrepancies), follow Manufacturing Systems activities, and take part in safety, risk assessment, ISO and EHS audits and training programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years of experience in a purchasing or planning role.
• Direct buyer experience in a manufacturing company (metal-mechanic, refrigeration, electronic or HVAC).
• Experience working with Purchasing, Planning and Production areas.
• Fluent English.
• Proactive, able to work under pressure, with leadership, communication, negotiation and prioritization skills.
