Staff Engineer, FE - Account Experience

About the role

This senior individual‑contributor position focuses on front‑end architecture for a complex, data‑rich merchant platform that powers global payments infrastructure. Based in Mexico and operating in a remote‑first environment, you will work closely with Product, Design, and backend teams to deliver a cohesive and intuitive account experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive front‑end technical strategy across multiple product areas, ensuring consistency and long‑term scalability.
• Own architecture decisions for a large‑scale web platform, including state management, performance optimization, and system design.
• Build and maintain shared front‑end foundations such as component libraries, design systems, and reusable patterns.
• Shape merchant‑facing experiences, including emerging AI‑driven interfaces and conversational workflows.
• Lead and mentor engineers through design reviews, code contributions, and technical guidance without direct authority.
• Champion best practices in accessibility, performance, observability, and front‑end reliability.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and backend teams to align on technical and product trade‑offs.

Required profile

• Deep front‑end expertise with experience at Staff or Principal Engineer level.
• Proven ability to influence architecture across multiple teams and systems.
• Strong technical judgment and a track record of elevating engineering standards.
