Strategic Finance Expert

About the role

Clara, a Latin American payment platform, is looking for a highly motivated and analytical Strategic Finance Expert to join its finance team. You will help shape the company's business and financial strategy and run high-impact cross-functional initiatives, including improving KPIs, evaluating product ROI and using AI to build dashboards and analytical tools for the executive team. The role is remote first, with in-person ramp-up and occasional team events.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the consolidated corporate finance model, including monthly forecasts, financial KPIs, balance sheet and cash flow projections
• Improve processes and ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis, and oversee SG&A budget alignment and cost efficiencies
• Build business cases with TAM analysis and financial projections, and develop dashboards on new product performance
• Run ad hoc analysis such as unit economics, working capital, cash flow forecasting and customer acquisition efficiency
• Partner with global and local leadership teams, including internal business reviews, and support sales, growth and product teams with data-driven recommendations
• Support board packs, investor updates and fundraising data rooms

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or a related field
• 3-4 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, management consulting (MBB preferred), FP&A, strategic finance or data science; startup or fintech experience is a plus
• Bilingual English and Spanish or Portuguese
• Results-driven, organized, collaborative and able to handle several time-sensitive priorities independently

Required skills

• Active use of AI tools to build custom workflows, dashboards and applications for financial analysis
• Building scalable financial models in Excel
• Communication and presentation skills for executive-level audiences
