Strategic Sourcing Specialist – Logistics Services

About the role

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to lead the procurement of logistics services, ensuring pricing, capacity and service levels meet business commitments. The role combines negotiation, supplier development and risk management within a multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Procure logistics services using negotiation, e‑procurement, auctions and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop and implement supply‑base strategies to meet current and future business needs.
• Manage supply risk through robust contracts, KPI monitoring and corrective actions.
• Build strong relationships with finance, supply managers and directors to support business objectives.
• Provide market intelligence and financial insights to guide sourcing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with policies, systems and controls throughout the sourcing process.
• Oversee commercial, financial and ethical aspects in collaboration with Logistics Category Managers.
• Track performance metrics such as savings, payment terms and supplier KPIs.
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and lead collaboration initiatives (e‑invoicing, responsible sourcing, supplier finance).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or a related field.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written) and Spanish.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably in a multinational setting.
• Familiarity with logistics services procurement is a plus.
• Solid understanding of contract law and results‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP procurement modules.
• Proficiency with Ariba e‑procurement system.
