Vice President, SME Commercialization – North LAC

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Vice President to lead the SME commercialization agenda across its North Latin America division, which includes Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America. The role focuses on shaping product strategy, driving growth, and expanding B2B payment solutions for small and medium enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic agenda for the SME segment across the region, strengthening Mastercard’s market position.
• Ensure SME products and value propositions are best‑in‑class and tailored to diverse sub‑segments.
• Leverage Mastercard’s loyalty, benefits, and services capabilities to enhance product differentiation.
• Support sales teams in building business cases and advancing SME opportunities.
• Identify, open, and develop new B2B payment flow opportunities as a growth lever.
• Monitor financial performance and provide executive‑level reporting on SME results.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Products, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Delivery to ensure alignment and effective execution.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in SME banking, commercial payments, or financial services.
• Strong strategic thinking with a proven ability to translate market opportunities into commercial plans.
• Experience leading multifunctional teams and influencing stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
• Data‑driven mindset with the ability to monitor performance and adjust strategies.
• Excellent organizational and networking skills.
