Internal Auditor

About the role

Ford is seeking an Internal Auditor to join its transformation journey toward electric and digital leadership. The role partners with business units to evaluate risk, improve processes, and ensure governance across strategic, operational, financial, and regulatory areas.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute risk‑based audits, from planning through reporting, using Ford’s internal audit methodology.
• Lead a small agile audit team (3‑4 members), guiding audit communications, reviewing work papers, and supporting report writing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to assess controls, identify improvement opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Apply analytical techniques and tools to quantify risks and focus testing on critical areas.
• Support internal audit strategic initiatives and travel to multiple geographic locations as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) for interaction with global auditors and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities with a broad business understanding.
• Ability to work effectively in teams, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to unfamiliar environments.
