Junior Sourcing Specialist - Raw Materials & Fabrication

About the role

ABB is hiring a Junior Sourcing Specialist for its Electrification Business in Juarez, Nuevo Leon. The position reports to the Category Manager and ensures the implementation, maintenance and compliance of purchasing and logistics activities within the Procurement function. It is an on-site role.

Key responsibilities

• Execute assigned purchasing and logistics activities according to ABB's standard procedures.
• Deliver and take part in training programs to ensure compliance and professional development.
• Design and implement plans and strategies for local sourcing of products and materials to meet business targets.
• Support the implementation of local sourcing strategies aligned with business needs, now and in the future.
• Apply procurement standards, tools and processes to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, industrial or similar engineering.
• More than 2 years of experience in similar roles such as buyer, planner or NPI buyer.
• Background in purchasing, including knowledge of steel.
• Experience contacting and negotiating with suppliers.
• Basic negotiation skills in a multicultural global business environment.
• Advanced English level.
