Procurement Specialist MRO

About the role

ABB is hiring a Procurement Specialist for its indirect divisional materials and services in the Monterrey 3.0 site. The role reports to the Category Manager and supports cost reduction and sourcing activities. It is an onsite position, working closely with maintenance, warehouse, manufacturing and HSE.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and comply with purchasing and logistics activities in the Procurement function, following ABB standard procedures and taking part in required training.
• Design and implement local sourcing strategies for indirect products, materials and services, and update SAP data (PIR, price, lead time, MOQ).
• Monitor on-time delivery of materials and optimize supplier cost, quality and reliability.
• Apply procurement standards, tools and processes to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability.
• Work with purchasing to build supplier relationships and manage supplier performance, ensuring component availability and flexibility.
• Handle certificates of origin, collect sustainability and compliance requirements, and support internal stakeholders in supplier visits, RFQ and RFP scope definition.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or International Business.
• 2-5 years of professional work experience.
• Basic knowledge of indirect materials and services such as packaging, pallets, maintenance services, scrap collection, conveyors and industrial safety projects.
• Strong oral and written communication in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office; SAP knowledge is an asset.
• Experience with RFQ and RFP execution and review.
• Understanding of the supply market, logistics and B2B.
• Internal stakeholder communication and a continuous improvement mindset.
